Bronwyn Roos and Isabel Carstens are two UCT graduates passionate about and inspired by the diverse cultural and linguistic possibilities of their home, South Africa . Bronwyn has had considerable experience in the management of a translation bureau and Isabel is a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) trainer who has been teaching English as a foreign language for years. Dedicated to high standards and consistent quality, they have identified a gap in the market for true client-based service. Words and Co. was born out of this dedication to perfection and raised with the ethics of good service. As a South African company, we celebrate our country's cultural and linguistic diversity and are able to provide services in all of our 11 official languages.
We are proud of the excellent work our committed translators provide and would like to take the opportunity to honour them in our Translator of the Month award.
Our translations are charged for per word, and we require a word count of the source document to quote accurately. We offer a discounted rate for NGO's and welfare organizations, as well as for any documents over 10 000 words. The rate for technical, legal or technical documents is slightly higher as highly experienced and specially qualified translators are used for this work.
Words & Co. assures all clients of personalized and friendly service, the lowest rates and quality work which meets the highest standards. We build good working relationships with clients through our dedication to meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy, efficiency and confidentiality in all that we do.
For students wishing to use their visit to Cape Town as an opportunity to gain work experience in their field of study, internships with South African companies can be organised through our sister company Atlantic Volunteers. Volunteers are given a 3 day orientation course and are also encouraged to join a 2 week English course. This is equip the student with the necessary tools for living and working in South Africa.
